The boys and girls of 5.1 worked as a team to prepare for the class assembly.
Yendra and Lixiang drew posters of Medusa; Sherrisa, Sara, Preritt and Maya displayed the posters in the MPR, Mingyu, Tomoki and Heegyu wrote the play's title (stone me) in Chinese, Japanese and Korean for our audiences. Seunghyun and Heegyu were in charge of providing the sound effects and music; Gakuto played the violin between scenes. The others memorized theiw own lines and helped each other. Allisya was the prompter, Ken and Sherrisa were narrators, Ariella and Sara were the presenters....
The result was a very successful performance that above all, made the students very proud of themselves and happy.

When it was the little kids' assembly I was not nervous because most of the time they will think it’s funny. But the G3-G5 assembly I was so nervous because the big kids will think it’s boring and they will also might talk behind our backs about the stage that we did and I was so worried that they will not laugh but they DID so that was the good thing!
I enjoyed the performance because it was really fun and exciting so it was pretty good. The part that I liked the most was when Me and Ariella performed a poem called “Get out of bed.” I was so scared that I might forget my lines because I was too nervous but instead I remembered them in both assemblies.I am proud that we didn’t do any mistakes.

On Friday the 14th 5.1 did play called “Stone Me!”.
We did the play twice, first was in front of the K1’s, K2’s, Grade 1’s and Grade 2’s. Then we did another one and that was in front of Grade 3’s, Grade 4’s and the other Grade class.I think everyone liked it a lot.
I was playing a character named Pete, short for Peter. I think I did a pretty good job. I was feeling a bit nervous but I think handled my nervousness.
The play was about a teacher called Ms Dusa/Medusa (if you don’t know who medusa she was a non-real creature who has snakes coming out of her head, and who ever looks at her is turned into stone) and she turns her class into stone and wants to turn the whole world into stone but some kids stop her by making her see her own reflection in a pair of sunglasses and turning her into stone.
By the way watch out for your teacher, she might be Medusa!
