This week, Heegyu and I got some things finished. Heegyu finished his project on top ten cleanest countries he is doing his next one about sandstorm pollution. I finished the definition of air pollution and top ten polluted places. I think we did an okay amount of job because we also had a mentor meeting on Monday. Our mentor is Ms.Yan Ping. She told us that she found a website that’s about Singapore’s Environment Agency.
We sent an email to them and got their response. They said we could have an interview with them but we needed to prepare our questions.
I thought I was responsible and showed good teamwork because Heegyu and I got separate work and we worked together as a team.
I will rate my self 9/10 because I thought I did quite good this week.
An image to describe my feeling: a bird building its nest slowly and slowly. I chose this image because I got started with our work and if we continue this, we can do it!
Difficulties: It was hard when we had to change the words into our own words because it is hard to think of another way to say the same sentence.
Next week’s plan: We should finish our interview questions and finish the work that we’re doing on now.
We have kicked off on our PYP Exhibition inquiries! The groups are made, topics decided and there is a buzz in the classroom. The topics are:
Gaming - addition problem among children
Pollution and its impact on children
Technology - how children use it
Body Image - the pressure to be somebody else
Cancers that inflict children
Family Issues: Poverty, child abuse, child labour
Guns - children access to it and its consequences
